Here at Cast Iron Pros, we’re passionate about all things relating to cast iron cookware.
We aim to provide our readers with the information they need to know about cast iron, seasoning, tools, maintenance, techniques, care, and everything in between.
Inspired years ago by cooking shows and personalities like Jamie Oliver and J. Kenji López-Alt to stop viewing cooking as a chore and start enjoying it as a hobby and an art, one of our first steps was to get a proper pan.
Pans and skillets come in all shapes, sizes, makes, and materials. It was difficult to find any legitimate information on what was best for our needs. Most of our research into finding which pans to buy turned up only weak and overly promotional articles that offered very little substance.
When we finally did get a decent pan (the Lodge 10.25″ Cast Iron Skillet), we realized there was an opportunity to provide people with the information we had been looking for.
Our mission is to provide our users with the thoroughly tried and researched advice and information that we failed to find our first time around.
There are a lot of bad and fluffy cookware review sites out there. We want to be one that our users can trust and rely on.
We painstakingly try, research, and review all the cookware, tools, and methods we write about. Our hope is that we can provide value to all of our readers, from beginners to seasoned chefs (pardon the pun).
Whether you’re buying your first skillet or upgrading from a well-worn dutch oven, we’ll be right there in your corner (and your kitchen).
If you have any questions or comments about anything, we’d be happy to help. Just drop us a message over on the contact us page.
